Here are some answers to commonly asked questions. If you don't find your answer here, please feel free to use the form on the "Contact Us" page. Q – Why should I attend Zion UCC? A- If it is your desire to strengthen and nurture your relationship with God and our Lord Jesus Christ, meet and make friends with people who have these same goals, and participate in activities that support the church and community, you have found a new church home. Q – What do we believe? A – Our belief’s can be summed up very briefly with the Statement of Faith and the Apostles' Creed located in the front of our hymnal. We reaffirm our faith each Sunday by reciting one of these doctrines.
Q - What are our services like? A - Our Sunday service is a traditional service. You will find people dressed in traditional “church clothes” to those dressing casual. Wednesday night services during Lent are typically more casual after the Ash Wednesday Communion Service. Services usually last an hour.
Q – What is there for children during services? A – We have Sunday school starting at 9:00 a. m. prior to church. From September until May, we have Children’s Church for those 1st grade and younger, following the “Time Mostly for Children” portion of the Sunday service . Children are also given activity sheets following their part of the service. Q- How do I become a member of Zion UCC? A – New members are received by transfer of membership from another church or baptism in and desire to join our church. Junior High age children are encouraged to take confirmation class and join the church at the end of those classes.
